This is me as Lulu from FFX. This costume was like my Holy Grail of costumes, the reason why I started getting into cosplay in the first place. I saw Lulu, and immediately knew that I wanted that costume, and also, that I possessed none of the skills needed to make it happen. So I started to practice, and experiment, and work toward my goal. That was 6 1/2 years ago. I've actually made pieces of this costume over the years as my skill improved. I think I did the necklaces and chopsticks almost 4 years ago. And the embroidery (yes, all the lace is embroidered- I begged for an embroidery machine for Christmas just so I could do this costume) about 2 years ago. The belt skirt was also 2 years ago, but that one kinda fell in on itself. This one is holding up much better, and is the piece I did this year. I'll be wearing this costume to Sakura-Con 2011, along with my Yuna!

EDIT: Uploaded a different photo, because I have the arm belts, don't have my glasses, and lost another 20 lbs. And I have my cactuar. ^~^

looks awesome. do you have the embroidery file you used? its wonderfully accurate!

I drew each piece of the embroidery, scanned them in, and had my software covert the image to embroidery format. Unfortunately, the files were all on my old computer, and I've lost track of the drawings... They're all easy images, they wouldn't be hard to replicate, though.

Ah, fair enough. I already have it drawn out, I was just hoping for a short-cut in the conversion process :)
